Delivering services to the people in remote areas of Papua New Guinea is quite challenging and involves a lot of risks for ATprojects staff. This picture was taken by an ATprojects officer returning to Goroka from a project site visit at Koningi area of Daulo district in the Eastern Highlands Province when a highway cargo truck’s trailer capsized right in front of them at Daulo top.

ATprojects vehicle travels narrow road at Koningi

Delivering basic services in Papua New Guinea is not an easy task, especially having faced with the realities of poor conditions of road network. An NGO such as AT projects do have a mission to accomplish in improving the lives of the rural population, who call these roughed, mountainous and steep ranges their homes. This picture shows the AT projects Round Loo team driving through one of the steepest, narrow and roughest roads in the Koningi area of Daulo district, Eastern Highlands Province with AT-Round Loo cement slabs which are designed for pit toilets in rural communities.
